Golden Eaglets player, Ebube Wisdom Okere has confessed that his game was speedily Improved when he played for the junior national team in the recent WAFU B U-17 championship held in Ghana.
Okere who is currently playing for Kotech Football Club of Lagos told Sports247 that he is a better player than before under the Coach of the Junior national team, Nduka Ugbade.
He confessed that the type of training being introduced by coach Ugbade really helped him to become a better player among his peers in the club.
“My experience in Golden Eaglets team was great. It was during my stay on the team ahead WAFU championship, I was exposed to some tactical training which really improved my game.
“Let me use this medium to thank our coaching crew led by coach Ugbade for making all the players in the team better players. what I learned in the national team is still applying in my club,” he said.
The Imo-born young lad said Nigeria’s qualification to U-17 Africa Nations Cup scheduled for Algeria next year was not by accident boasting that the team has what it takes to conquer Africa again.
“For those who watched our games in Ghana, we were not only good but we are ready for the world cup. We are going to Algeria not to qualify for the world cup but to win the tournament,” said Okere who is a midfielder in the Eaglets team.
Okere was one of the players on the team that distinguished himself in Ghana. His creative play gave their opponents serious concerns. His ability to hold on to the ball in the midfield and give accurate passes delighted Ugbade to have confidence in the young lad.
Okeke is a young player and full of energy. His performance at the ongoing Ikeja Super league play-off confirmed that the Kotech player has a brighter future in his football career.
