Changchun Yatai of China striker, Odion Jude Ighalo has stopped short of making any pronouncement on his next port of call at club level, as he says he has left all transfer matters to his agent to decide on his behalf.
Speaking to sports247.ng at the charity project organised by fellow-China-based star, Asisat Oshoala, Ighalo said he is eager to get a new club in January, but he will not hurry into any team.
Rather than get bowled over by the need to get a new team before the Africa Cup of Nations, Ighalo admitted he will not want to play with Yatai in the lower division, but sid he has to be cautious about his decision.
In order not to end up taking the wrong decision on his future career prospects, the former Julius Berger FC of Lagos, Prime FC of Oshogbo, Lyn Oslo of Norway, Udinese of Italy, Granada of Spain and Watford of England star says his agents will decide for him.
Ighalo stressed: “I don’t know yet about my future. I cannot make a hasty decision so I’ll use the next few weeks to decide.
“I have been getting direct calls from different agents and clubs, but now enjoying my Christmas break with the family and it is the job of my agent to speak to them.”
