Ahmed Musa Joins Another Turkish Club Following Departure From Fatih Karagümrük

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has joined Sivasspor on a two-year deal following his departure from Fatih Karagümrük, Sports247.ng reports. Musa will play alongside another Nigerian, Leke James, at Sivasspor.

“Ahmed Musa signed a contract that binds him to Demir Grup Sivasspor for 2 years starting from the 2022-2023 season,” Sivasspor announced on their website.

“Our President Mecnun Otyakmaz also took part in the signing ceremony. We welcome Ahmed Musa to our Demir Grup Sivasspor and wish him success under our jersey.”

Musa joined Fatih Karagümrük in July 2021 after a brief stint with Kano Pillars. His contract with Karagümrük was supposed to run until June 30, 2023, but the club terminated his contract early on Friday.

Musa appeared in 37 games for Karagümrük, scoring four goals and providing two assists. Three of those appearances came during the current season. He will continue his career with Sivasspor.

The 29-year-old will compete in the UEFA Europa Conference League with Sivasspor this season. The Braves have been drawn in Group G alongside Slavia Praha, CFR Cluj, and FC Ballkani.
