Ifeanyi Obi, the first goal scorer of the game and highest goal scorer in the FA competition has dedicated the team’s victory to Dannaz football club owner, Mr. Dannaz as he revealed how he was helped to the top after he decided to end his football career.
Ifeanyi revealed this in an exclusive interview with Sports247 after the game, “I will be nowhere today without Mr. Dan, he gave me a life and hope after I felt there was nothing else for me.”
“I didn’t expect today’s victory, we were underdogs and we knew they were superior, we talked about it before the match that they will dominate us but we played our game, sailed our ship and we made it, here’s the result.”
“Getting the first goal was terrific, I wasn’t chasing personal glory, just want the team to win, never knew I will be among the goal scorers in the FA cup final.”
“This trophy is for Mr. Dan, he picked me from nowhere and made me something even when I decided not to play football again because there was no help.”

On his next move and aspiration, he said, “I want to play more now, move to the NPFL possibly, that’s what I have in mind after this victory, playing in the Nigerian league is a top feat, so I want to give it a shot and prove myself.
