“My friend told me about this scouting program, I had to travel down to Lagos to participate.”
“It started last week Wednesday and some players were screened out but I made it to the final stage, we played our last match yesterday and we won 3-1.”
“Our second match today, I played from the wingback and I had the goal, happy for that.”
On his long-term dream, “My target is to become a professional footballer, I think serving and assisting my teammates, just giving them the ball anyhow they want it and they get goals is what I love. That’s one of my attributes, I can play in the midfield and also on the wings.”
Paul recounted how he got his first boot and his parent’s displeasure about his chosen career path, “I saved money for my first boot because my parents didn’t allow me the freedom to play football.”
To who he models his game and looks up, “I love Paul Schooles a lot, he inspires me,” he concluded.
