Immediate past Coach of Shooting Stars popularly known as 3SC of Ibadan, Edith Agoye has come out to those who care to listen that he is not the problem of the Ibadan-based premier club.
Agoye told Journalists in Ibadan after meeting with club management and Governor Seyi Makinde before he tendered his resignation on Tuesday.
The dark-skinned coach said he had tried his best for the club in the last nine years insisting that he is not the problem of the club.
“I know I’m not the problem of the club but I have to resign to save my head. Some people are bent on sinking the ship of the club, believing that they should be in the saddle to run the club,” said Agoye after he bowed out as a chief coach of 3SC.
He, however, thanked Governor Makinde and club management for giving him the opportunity to serve the club in the last nine years saying that it is time for him to find a new challenge.
“After nine years in the club, I have decided to leave my position as the head coach of the club. I feel it is high time for me to leave the shooting stars club in pursuit of new challenges,” added Agoye, a graduate of the University of Ibadan.
