Solanke Still Under Consideration At Liverpool

Liverpool’s Nigerian-born striker, Dominic Solanke is still under close consideration to stay with the club beyond January, as club officials and crew are undecided over whether to allow him leave next month or not.

Talk of a possible January loan move has come for Solanke from Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town of England, as well as the duo of Glasgow Rangers of Scotland and Galatasaray of Turkey.

However, footballlive.ng gathered that The Reds’ boss, Jurgen Klopp is cautious over a decision on the 21-year-old’s future, in case any injuries strike between now and the January transfer window.

Klopp has five games up to January 7, including back-to-back English Premier League matches against Arsenal and Manchester City, hence the German tactician’s decision to be cautious.

He will not make any decision on Solanke’s future until the transfer window opens in the New Year, mindful of any injuries Liverpool could suffer during the hectic festive schedule.

Solanke has been named in The Reds match day squad only once this season, against Chelsea in the League Cup, and was omitted from all their matches in the Premier League and Champions League.

The 21-year-old 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup most valuable player is keen on getting game time away from Liverpool, ahead of the European U21 Championship, but Klopp is not in a hurry to acquiesce to the lad’s wish.
