Lagos State Football Association LSFA has congratulated FC Robo Queens for reaching the quarter final of the Aiteo national challenge cup.
The Lagos based premier club,FC Robo Queens defeated onThursday evening defeated Edo Queens 2-0 in the round of 16 at the Ilorin Township Stadium.
Reacting to the FC Robo Queens victory, chairman technical committee of Lagos FA,Adedotun Coker said the entire board members of the state association are happy with the achievement of Lagos based premier club in the ongoing Aiteo cup and urged them to remain focused in their remaining matches.
“Let me use the medium to congratulate Osahon girls for their victory over Edo Queens.Their commitment and fighting spirits really helped to reach this crucial stage of the tournament and on behalf of entire board members and staff of Lagos FA,I congratulate FC Robo Queens for making Lagos proud I. Aiteo cup and wish them best of luck in their remaining matches,”he said.
Asked if FC Robo Queens can reach this year’s Aiteo cup final,Coker said if they can remained focused, and committed, their sky is limit.
“Of course they can reach the final.They played in last year’s Aiteo cup final so they can still repeat the feat again if they are focused,committed and united,”he said.
Monday Gift opened the scoring for FC Robo Queens in the 4th minutes before Opeyemi Ajakaye netted the second goal to confirm their supremacy over their opponents.
The second half was tough as both teams missed some scoring chances.Effort by Edo Queens to reduce the rally remained abortive as Lagos Oshaon girls ran away with the victory.
