Royale Union Saint-Gilloise have completed the signing of Victor Boniface from Bodø/Glimt for €2 million, reports Sports247.
The Nigerian forward has penned a four-year contract with an option for a further year with the Belgian First Division A club. He will wear the number 7 jersey.
Boniface signed for Bodø/Glimt from Lagos-based Real Sapphire FC in March 2019. In his three years with the Norwegian club, he made 66 appearances, scoring 23 goals and assisting on 8 occasions.
He won the Norwegian league title with Bodø/Glimt twice in 2020 and 2021.
Boniface has already featured in the 2022-23 UEFA Champions qualifiers for Bodo/ Glimt where he has recorded 5 goals in four matches.
Union SG are also in the Champions League qualifiers. They will face Rangers later today in the first leg of the third round of qualifiers.
Union SG currently sit third in the Belgium league table with four points from two matches. The game against Rangers has come too soon for Boniface. The 21-year-old will likely make his debut for his new club on Saturday, August 6, when they visit KV Mechelen in a league encounter.
