Head coach of Melody Football Club of Iwaya, Boafo Joseph confessed that it was unfortunate that his team lost again to a football team of Yaba College of Technology YABATECH in a friendly match played recently on the school premises.
Melody who reached round of 16 at the just concluded Lagos FA Cup lost 2-1 to their opponents. This is the second time Melody lost to the Yabatech team.
Joseph in a chat with Sports247 admitted that their opponents were better in the second half but noted that lack of concentration was responsible for the defeat.
“I am not happy because I lost to Yabatech again. The first time we met last year, we lost 2-1 and the same result also occurred when we met again. This is an unfortunate result. We need to go back to the drawing board and correct our mistakes,” he said.
Commenting on their Defeat, Joseph said his players gave a good account of themselves but pointed out that they could not raise their game in the second half.
“We first scored them and they quickly equalized before halftime. I excepted my boys to play better in the second half, unfortunately, they lost concentration,” he added.
He however disclosed that his team would call for a replay match and boasted that his team has what it takes to beat their opponents
