Executive Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, Shola Aiyepekun has congratulated Oluwaseyi Owolabi Amos for successfully building the Seamoriow sports stadium at Ikotun in the Alimosho local government area of the state.
Aiyepekun disclosed this after he commissioned the sports center with other invited guests on Sunday afternoon.
In his message, Aiyepekun commended the staff and management of Seamoriow sports limited for the laudable project saying that the sports center is built to promote grassroots football in Ikotun and Lagos at large.
“I congratulate Mr. Amos for this initiative and we are imploring more private sectors and individuals to build more sports centers in the state,” he said.
In his own comment, the vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi also showed encomium on the owner of the Seamoriow sports center for the laudable project and urged the other private sectors and sports philanthropists to channel their resources to sports development in their communities.
“This is a good development in Ikotun and Lagos generally, Government alone cannot run the sports and if we can see more such sports centers like this, the better for young footballers in the state,” he said.
In their own comments, the two ex-internationals, Dosu Joseph and Mutiu Adepoju applauded Amos for taking it upon himself by building a well-befitting sports center for the development of sports in Ikotun and its environs.
