Head coach of Fluent Vision Football Club of Ago-Okota, Eric Obinwa has cried out that conceding ten goals against Collins Edwin was very embarrassing.
Obinwa disclosed this after his team lost 10-2 to NLO Lagos-based club, Collins Edwin in a recent friendly match played in Surulere, Lagos.
Obinwa told Sports247 that he came to play Collins Edwin but he did not envisage that his team would leave the pitch with heavy Defeat.
“This is the shocking result and embarrassing Defeat. I am worried about the result because we did not deserve this result but what went wrong is the assignment I need to work on to avoid such result in our subsequent matches,” he said.
Despite the heavy defeat, Obinwa still commended his players for their effort and noted that the defeat was a wake-up call.
“My players did their best but their best was not enough to curtain the Collins Edwin strikers. So many lessons have been learned from this game and I believe that my players need to wake up from their slumbers and improve their performance. Failure to see changes in our subsequent matches I think I need to take action on them,” he said.
The club boss however thanked Collins Edwin for giving them a friendly match and used their regular players to prosecute the friendly and promised that his club would bounce back soonest.
