Executive Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, Shola Aiyepekun would lead the other invited guests to commission Seamoriow Sports centre scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
The Seamoriow sports centre which is located at Islamic Street, off Abaranje Road, Ikotun is the first of its kind in the entire Alimosho local government area of Lagos.
Speaking ahead of the commissioning, Chairman of the Seamoriow Sports Limited, Oluwaseyi Owolabi Amos confirmed to Sports247.ng that Mr Aiyepekun and Vice president of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi and other invited guests would also be in attendance to witness the commissioning of the edifice sports centre.
“We are happy to announce that our able Executive Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Shola Aiyepekun would be on hand to commission our newly built sports centre. Aside from him, we have invited some ex-internationals such as Mutiu Adepoju, Dosu Joseph and Victor Ikpeba and some traditional rulers that would grace the occasion for us. It is going to be a media and open event and I am using this medium to call on the residents of Ikotun, Abaranje and its environs to come and witness the commissioning,” he said.
Amos explained that the sports centre is well equipped with a lot of facilities. He noted that the sports centre has offices, VIP viewpoint, VIP Lounge, two dressing rooms, a referee room and a rest room for spectators, officials and players.
The sports philanthropists added that the astroturf football pitch is well constructed saying that there is well-constructed drainage built at the sports centre. Amos also disclosed that the sports centre has a clinic where players can treat themselves during and after the game.
