The much anticipated Inspector General of Police Badminton tournament would commence on 29 through 31, July at the Badminton Indoor Sports Hall of Police College, Ikeja, Lagos.
The three days tourney which is put together by zone 2 under the leadership of AIG Adeleke Adeyinka Bode would see four teams in action. Among the participants that would be on the battlefield are Zone 2, Lagos command, Ogun command and Force Headquarters, Lagos
The chairman organizing committee, SP Moses Aliu confirmed that arrangements are in top gear to organize a colorful and memorable AIG Badminton tournament in Lagos.
“We have started preparation for the tournament and we have contacted those who would involve in the tournament and they have promised us their full participation. Our venue for the tournament is in good shape and the Zone 2 is ready to host a successful tournament,” he said.
Aliu said the objective of the tournament is to discover more talents among the officers and secondly to allow the participants to use the tournament to prepare them for Police Games scheduled to hold later in the year.
