The South West Basketball Association have announced that the inaugural zonal finals of the South West Basketball Association Secondary School championship will hold in Ibadan.
The association which covers all the six South Western states will have the champions of each states converge in both male and female categories after the elimination stage was played.
The finals will be played at the Lekan Salami stadium Ibadan from 5th July to 9th July 2022.
President of the South West Basketball Association, Olumide Oyedeji thanked the South West zones presidents for supporting the championship.
“I wish to appreciate the state chairmen and their boards for keying into the vision. Grassroots and education geared towards basketball development work hand in hand.”
“For the medium and long term sustainability of our basketball culture, the grassroot play a vital role,” Oyedeji concluded.
