Remo Stars have advised their supporters to express the spirit of sportsmanship and shun violence ahead of fans returning to the stadium starting from the Nigeria Professional Football League Matchday 36 match against Enyimba United.
Recall that the Sky Blue Stars were sanctioned by the League Management Company by ordering the closure of the Remo Stars Stadium to fans for two home games, following the encroachment of restricted area by unidentified persons and harassed Match Officials in Remo Stars Matchday 30 league game against Kano Pillars in Ikenne.
The statement on the club’s social media page confirmed the development, stating the relevant security operatives are in place to ensure the safety of fans, match officials, and delegates for their home matches.
The statement reads;
“Following the completion of our two games behind closed doors as sanctioned by the League Management Company, we are delighted to announce the return of fans to the stadium starting from this Sunday’s Matchday 36 clash against Enyimba FC.
While we understand the passion our fans show in our home games, we urge them to exhibit a high level of sportsmanship and shun violence as we look forward to finishing the season on a high.
We are cooperating fully with all relevant security operatives to ensure the safety of fans, match officials and delegates for all of our home matches starting from this Sunday’s game against Enyimba FC.”
