The Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung has hinted that the budgetary proposal for 2020 has been made.
He says his administration is taking the next Olympic Games very seriously, hence the need for early budgetary planning.
“The budgetary proposal for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has already been drafted. This is because we don’t want to engage in fire brigade approach and start very early,” Dalung was quoted by Sports247.ng in an interview.
“My administration is taking the next Olympic Games seriously. If you don’t plan well there is tendency to fail woefully in the set out tasks.”
“All the sports federations who expects to participate in the Olympics should ensure their athletes qualify and start early preparations for the summer games,” he added.
