Nigerian midfielder Ibrahim Alhassan has completed a move to Belgium second-tier First Division B club, K Beerschot on a free transfer following his release from Portuguese outfit C.D. Nacional, Sports247 can confirm.
The two-year deal was announced on the club’s website on Thursday, where the 25-year-old stated that he is excited about the move which is the “next good step” in his career.
“For me this is another good step in my career. In previous seasons I played in Portugal in both the first and second division. My goal is to play at the highest level with Beerschot again as soon as possible.”
Alhassan began his professional career with Wikki Tourists in 2016 before joining reigning Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Akwa United in the same year.
The kano born player joined Austria giants, Austria Vienna where he only spent one year in 2017 before he moved to Portugal with C.D. Nacional where he played for four years.
He has appeared twice for the Nigeria national team, Super Eagles since he made his debut in May of 2017.
