Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will play the Baby Elephant of Côte d’Ivoire in the semi-final of the ongoing WAFU B U-17 Afcon Qualifiers on Tuesday, 21st June, 2022.
Golden Eaglets who are unbeaten in the competition so far book their spot in semi-final after defeating the Black Satellites of Ghana 3-1 in Nigeria’s opening game of the tourney and their Togolese counterparts with the same scoreline margin in their second Group B match.
Meanwhile Côte d’Ivoire on the other hand lost their final group game 4:2 to Burkina Faso to finish second in the Group B behind the latter.
The Black Satellites of Ghana will take on Burkina Faso, who are also unbeaten in the tournament in the second semi final fixture.
Both semi-final fixtures will take place at the Cape Coast Stadium, Central Region in Ghana.
The two finalists in Ghana will represent the zone in the 2023 U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
