A call has gone to the club owners and coaches whose teams are still in WGB Lagos State FA Cup not to bring players who are not medically fit to play in the competition.
Disclosing this to sport 247.ng, chairman technical committee of Lagos State Football Association,LSFA,Dotun Coker reminded the club owners, managers and coaches of the participating teams’ to ensure that all their players are medically fit ahead today’s matches.
“It is primary responsibilities of the club owners to provide adequate medical treatment for their players before and during their matches.Also the club owners should try as much as possible to engage physiotherapist to certify their players before the game.If all the clubs can abide the rules ,the better for the club owners,”he said.
Coker said the Lagos FA has provided medical too for any emergency situation and admonished the club owners to do their part.
“If we observe the match venues we are using,we have clinics or hospital nearby the venue to avoid any emergency situation.We Lagos FA have taken the safety and security of the teams seriously and we are determined to ensure that we host successful FA Cup without fear or favour of any team,”he said.
Coker however commended the teams in Lagos FA Cup for complying to the medical rules at the beginning of the tournament and urged them not to rest on their oars.
Meanwhile 13 matches would be played across four centres today in the ongoing preliminary of WGB Lagos FA Cup.
