The Team Manager of Bucknor Football Club of Alimosho, Habeeb Abidemi has expressed confidence that his team have what it takes to go beyond the first round of the ongoing 2021/2022 Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup.
Bucknor would face Glory Boys on Saturday by 2 pm at the Zumuratu College, Ikorodu. The Alimosho-based crashed out in the second round of last year’s FA Cup.
Abidemi in a chat with our correspondent said they are in this year’s FA Cup for business not for the jamboree. He disclosed that his players and coaching crew are motivated and they are ready to give their best on Saturday.
“We are good to go in Lagos FA Cup. Our players are in high spirit and they are ready to make us proud. Our performance at the recent Alimosho league showed that the players are in the best form of their lives and I am expecting victory from them on Saturday,” he said.
Abidemi said the team have engaged in a series of friendly matches and urged the players to remain focused and determined in the biggest state football competition. He said failure to win their first game would be a huge disappointment to the entire management and the fans who have been supporting the club for many years.
