Delta Queens came into the Nigeria Women’s Football League with a lot of prospect but had to wait till the last day of the season to pick its first win in the super six.
Delta Queens finished fifth on the six team table with one win, two draws and two losses which was down to not taking chances according to Sarah Nnodim.
“We’ve been searching for the win for long,” she told Sports247’s reporter after the game. “We played our best in the Super Six but the goals were not forthcoming,” Sarah said.
“We created a lot of chances but even today but we could not convert it. Hopefully, in the Aiteo Cup, we will take the chances,” Sarah concluded.
