The Arewa Sports Forum has congratulated the the national U20 men team otherwise known as the ‘Flying Eagles’ after the Nigerians obliterated their Republic of Benin counterparts, 3-1 in the final of the Wafu B U20 tournament on Friday in Niamey , the Republic of Niger capital.
In a communique signed by its vice president, Attahiru Babayo, the forum also sent a heartwarming congratulatory message to the NFF, and Nigeria Football fraternity for the zonal cup triumph over neighbouring country, Benin Republic.
“I want to use this medium to congratulate the Flying Eagles players, the technical crew, and the backroom staff for their collective effort in ensuring Nigeria not just qualify for the U20 AFCON in Morocco next year but topple all other teams to clinch the the trophy.”
Mr. Babayo also commended the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF for providing all the basics necessities for the team which led to their triumph.
“I would also like to commend the Nigeria Football Federation for giving all the necessary support for the Flying Eagles”
“There’s no doubt the attention the team got from the NFF really played a pivotal role in the team’s success in Niger Republic.”
The Flying Eagles have all but qualified for the AFCON U20 men tournament in Morocco next year.
