KG Sports forward, Godsent “Obuseme” Benedict has been Selected to join Dino Sporting Football Club Abeokuta. The 17-year-old High School Graduate was among 8 players selected after 3 days trial at Warri. Four KG Sports Academy Players attended the trials, teeming up with Ichofe Football Academy to take part in the Eight Team tournament.
Announcing the results, Coach Oghenekaro Onokpite Stated that ” Eight players were picked totally and will be going to join the main
team in Abeokuta, two are are from Success FC PortHarcourt While these Three are from Bayelsa stars Fc and Godsent Benedict from KG Sports Academy Agbor”
The Players will join the Dino Sporting Football Club for further preparations ahead of the Europe Scouting Mission.
Godsent Benedict has continued to receive interest from Several Clubs following his outstanding displays for KG sports Academy in the Ika Grassroots Football League last season. Despite joining the team late due to time off to taking WAEC Exams, the Striker scored a hattrick in his first game and went on to score 6 goals in 6 games for the Pride of Agbor.
Obuseme, was scouted by Coach Oghenekaro Onokpite during the Bet9ja-DFA State league where he spearheaded the KG Sports Academy Attack featuring in all 9 games.
“He is a young promising player, Good height, calm on the ball and has the pace to trouble defenders, I am sure he will do well for any team that signs him up and so we are happy to see him move to Abeokuta and hopefully Can attract a better deal in the near future” KG Sports Academy Director Dr. ken Gadaffi stated.
