Former Flying Eagles invitee, Nnamdi Ofoborh has expressed delight with the contract extension he sealed with Bournemouth of England on Thursday, sports247.ng reports.
After putting pen to paper on the new deal, Ofoborh said he wants to make the best of his latest contract, which will keep him at The Cherries’ Vitality Stadium home ground until June 30, 2021.
Although he is yet to cement a regular spot in the club’s main team, and was an unused substitute when Bournemouth faced MK Dons, Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City in the League Cup this season, Ofoborh said he is patiently waiting for his time to shine.
He is inching closer to making his professional debut for the club, as he trains with their first team and was part of the squad that went to Spain for pre-season training.
The 19-year-old midfielder said: ”Coming to the club three years ago this is a real positive for me and I feel great being here.
“I’m really happy, my family is really happy and I just want to keep moving forward from this point on.
“I found out just before an under-21s game, the gaffer called me into his office and wanted to speak to me.
“I was a little bit nervous to be fair I didn’t know what he wanted to say. I thought he wanted to talk about the game or something else.
“He’s a great manager and coach, he helps me with everything I need to work on.”
