Ngozi Elechi was a proud man on Sunday morning as his side, Go Round FC picked with first away win of the season in a 2-1 win at Cynosure FC.
It was James Eronje who opened after a goaless first half, when he poked home from a low cross.
A goalmouth melee saw Cynosure FC equalise, but Onyedikachi Ugwu, who had come on in the closing stages of the game bullied his way through the defence to blast home the winner.
“I was happy with the reaction of my team after the draw at home last week,” Ngozi Elechi said.
“I thank them for their efforts today. I am glad with their reaction today,” Elechi said.
Coach of Cynosure FC, Festus Allen gave credit to Go Round FC
“It was well contested and lack of concentration was responsible for the goals we conceded. We are just debutants in the league and Go Round FC showed their experience,” Allen said.
