KG Sports Academy Agbor opened their campaign in the Bet9ja-DFA State League with a convincing 3-1 Win over CASI Academy Iselle Asagba.on Tuesday afternoon at the Agbor Township Stadium.
Joel Orji opened scores for the Pride of Agbor inside 12 minutes of play against the run of play as CASI pressed forward leaving their rear open.
Undaunted by the goal CASI settled down quickly and took control but the KG defense led by Jude Obi and Kelechi held tight.
CASI draw level inside the 37th minute from a free kick taken from.the edge of the box to take the tie into the break all square.
KG Sports stepped up in the second half and took control of the game with Orji Joel, Praise Odugbo and Godsent Benedict combining well to torment the CASI Defense.
Jude Obi put the Agbor boys ahead in the 70th minute before Izendu Emmanuel put the icing on the cake with the 3rd goal in the 80th to take the match beyond CASI.
The win shoots KG Sports Academy to top of the Table of the Agbor Center with other matches to come up on Wednesday
