Four Bright Stars FC Players Joins KG Sports Academy on loan Ahead of Bet9ja-DFA State League due to kick off on Feb 12 2022.
Striker Amos Obogwu, Right WInger Micheal Okonjo, Midfielder Ossai Ifeanyi and Defender Matisa were all signed by KG sports Academy on Sunday 23rd January after a friendly match between KG Sports and Bright Stars FC Ogwashi Uku.
According to KG sports Academy Director, Dr. Ken Gadaffi, the players are expected to beef up the team ahead of the Bet9ja-DFA State league. ” We have a young team and we hope these players will help to strenghten the team as the League promises to be interesting and we will be facing tough teams within the Delta North Region.” He stated
” We are also trying to build a cosmopolitan team hence we have scouted for players from several part of the Delta North, We now have players from Ika South, Ika North East, Ukwani, Aniocha South and even down to Ethiope and Ughelli” the Erudite Sports Administrator said.
The Draw for the League will be held on Friday 28th January and the participating clubs will know their opponents and schedule.
KG sports Academy concluded a Playing tour to Asaba with 2 draws and 2 Defeat. The Pride of Agbor fell to Sowers Academy Asaba 4-0 before pulling a 1-1 draw against Texas Academy Asaba They Lost 2-0 to NYSC FC Asaba and then played out a 3-3 Draw against Bright Stars of Ogwashi Uku.
” We were testing our players as we needed to selecte 25 players to be registered, the results do not count much for now and we hope by the time we have picked our squad, we will beging to work on strategies to Play the League ” Dr Ken Gadaffi popularly known as the Oracle remarked.
KG Sports Academy will face another league team, Flying Rangers of Ughelli on Thursday 27th January before the draw on Friday 28th january.
