KG Sports Academy defeated Ute Erunmu FC 3-0 in a Friendly to mark the end of the year and usher the annual Ute Erunmu Carnival due to commence on Monday 20th December.
KG Sports dominated the match from start to finish and scored 3 unreplied goals to record a convincing victory away from home to mark the end of the year.
Jude Igumbor put the visitors in front in the 10th minute after a good Team build up from Jude Obi and Skipper Joseph Ukah who found Jude Igumbor and the teenager beat the offside trap before firing home the opener.
Six minutes later, Solomon Okoh doubled the lead after Skipper Joseph free kick found the teenager in acres of space once again beating the offside trap before finding the bottom corner.
First half ended 2-0 and KG started the second half in top gear as Ute Erunmu fought back to reduce the tally but poor marksmanship denied them any scoring chances.
Skipper Joseph Ukah hit the post and pulled a great save before providing the Assist from corner kick for Marvelous Otutu to head home the 3rd goal to silence the Ute Erunmu Fans.
KG Sports Director Dr. KEN Gadaffi commended the spirit of his boys and declares break for Yuletide period to resume on January 7th ahead of the Bet9ja-DFA State League that will kick off on February 12th.
“We have registered for the State League and so will open camp on January 7th and hopefully we will get new players to play the State League.” He stated.
