FC Bethel coach says he is quite happy with his side as they dominate a 3-2 victory against Jumez International FC in the fixture of the ongoing Fusion Football Championship played on Sunday at the Surulere National Stadium.
Speaking in the post-match interview with Sports247, coach Ayeni expresses huge satisfaction with the manner of his side’s win.
“The first 15 minute was too casual for us, my boys were ball watching their opponents to take the ball to us in the defense but along the line we picked up because we allowed them to get to us and they had every chances to score but thanks to my goal keeper who was really into the game”
” During the 25th minutes of play I thank God that we got a penalty that gave us a lead and I think that was when the game fully started but along the line an offside was overlooked and that gave the opponent side an equalizing goal, who are we to blame the referee because they have the final say”.
“But after that, I think we dominated the game throughout the second halve because we were able to fight back to get the second and third goals in same manners even though the opponent pushed hard to score their second goal, we were able to manage the pressure because my defense was very low and we hit them on a counter whenever we get the ball”.
“The game ended 3-2 which is a good one for us because we went away with the 3 point which will boost us in the league table. So I think it’s a positive one for us, he concluded.
