It was a debut to remember for the multimedia journalists team at the ongoing Bet9ja Lagos SWAN Cup following a quarterfinal finish in this year’s competition.
With a 1-0 defeat in the first match to Community Watch, the Solihull Adeyemo tutored side rallied back to a 3-0 win over News Agency Of Nigeria as Michael Adegbile, Sawadinho and Martin Ufodo scored the goals.
Following a 5-0 massacre of Jordan FM in the final group game, the stage was set for a record last four or final finish for the lads but they were undone by Complete Sports 1-0 as the team exit the tournament with their heads held high.
Speaking afterwards, the team coordinator, Tobi Adepoju, thanked members that participated on behalf of the group, while harping on making next edition better for the team.
The chairman of Multimedia Journalists, Enitan Obadina appreciated the entire delegation that hoisted the flag of the group and promised more support in further participation.
Highlight for the team was a Lagos Swan invitation for one of its player in Michael Adegbile following his performance at the tournament.
