Following a disappointing start to the TCC Cup campaign this season, captain of the side Afolayan Peters couldn’t hold back his disappointment as he spoke to Sports247.
He blamed lack of cutting edge and being clinical in front of goal as the reason for the defeat to a much better Valiant FC.
“In the first half, we did not play well. Even in the second, we didn’t convert our chances,” Peters said.
“We will go back to do our best and prepare as I’m very disappointed in the game. We’ll work harder and I’m sure the coaches know what we need to work on,” the captain concluded.
The other game in the group saw Dannaz FC and Emmydinho FC play out a 1-1 draw with still leave the group very open as this is just the first game.
