An Oil and Gas magnate, Engineer Obieze Mac-Anthony has generously donated five high quality footballs to Cynosure Football Club to show support and love for the Top Dogs.
While presenting the balls to the officials at the club’s training center earlier today, the soccer fanatic appreciated the hard work invested into the team – behind the scenes – on a daily basis.
Speaking to CFC’s media after making the donation, Engineer Obieze revealed the reasons behind his magnanimity toward the club.
He said “When you have passion for something, you don’t look at your gain – you look at the joy you get from it. Football is just my passion, I like doing it. I wish I had taken it as a career. But since it wasn’t possible, I have never stopped identifying with good football whenever the proximity is there, just to watch them play , and probably see if I can up my fitness (with the team). But the passion drives me, I like watching good football, and Cynosure Football Club has been doing wonderfully well. (And) kudos to the management and the chairman of the club, (because) it’s not easy to solely run a club.
He however urged the fans of the club to get behind the team with the necessary support they can offer. He enjoined the players to remain committed, focused and disciplined if they are to make headways in their chosen career.
