Ex international, Joseph Dosu has showered praises on Dosu Football Academy after defeating Young Aslan 2-1 in the ongoing Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup.
The pulsating match was held on Thursday at Odion Ighalo sports center, Ajegunle, Ojo Local government.
The Founder of Dosu Academy told our correspondent that it was a tough game for his team saying that their opponents were a good side despite their loss.
He however commended his players for their resilience and fighting spirit showed throughout the game noted that this year’s Lagos FA Cup is a tough one for all the participating teams.
“It was a tough game because we played a very good young Aslan. It ended a goalless draw at halftime before Usman Ajibola scored the winning goal for us in the 65th minute. I commend my players and coaching crew for the job well done,” he said.
Asked if his team can go all the way to the final, Dosu said he was not desperate to reach the final but he was interested in the progress of the players.
He explained that winning the Lagos FA Cup is good but insisted that what concerned him now is to see the progress of his players in the Lagos FA cup.
“We want to take the game one after the other. We are not in hurry to play in the final. As an academy, we are interested in the progress of these players so I am happy that my boys are doing well and I pray that none of them should have a major injury before their next game,” he said.
