Director of Springsoca United, Oladapo Emmanuel has reacted following the team’s victory over Broadcity Football Club in the first round of Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup.
Springsoca United defeated Broadcity 5-4 on penalty shootout after barren draw at the regulation time. The pulsating tie held over the weekend at Iraye Community pitch, Epe.
Emmanuel in a chat with our correspondent admitted that it was a tough encounter but thanked goodness that his team came out victorious. He commended his players for their doggedness and determination displayed throughout the pulsating tie.
“Reaching the second of Lagos FA Cup is a big achievement for the club because nobody gave us chance when the tournament kicked off. We still need to prepare for the second round because we don’t want to stop in the early stage of the tournament,” he said.
Emmanuel said he dedicated the victory to God and club partners, Optimum Sports Consultancy, UK, Myron Top Sports, Nigeria and players who gave their best to achieve the result.
He urged the players to remain focused and determined to win their subsequent matches saying that the club management would do everything within its capacity to motivate them in the area of match bonuses, allowances, and other incentives during the competition.
