A renowned producer of sports programs on radio, Jide-Ojo has turned as a facilitator of the emergence of the Interact Club at Will-B Excellence Secondary School, Ikotun, Lagos.
Now known as Rotarian Jide-Ojo Olusola Jide, the former chief producer and Director of programs at Sports Radio 88.9 Brila FM, took the new initiative as a member of Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa, Lagos.
In furtherance of his efforts to take Rotary Club’s four-wheel test of character to citadels of learning across Lagos State and beyond, the ace producer, who is now the CEO of 247SportsNatwork Limited and motivational speaker, was recently at Will-B School to launch the new baby.
Along with him were the President-Elect of Ikeja-Alausa Rotary Club, Rotarian Tonna Oguzie Ofuazia, and Admin assistant, Rotarian Oluwabunmi Ogunkunle, who both gave eloquent speeches.
That was one of the high points of a special talent hunt show organised by the school’s prefects for students in all three junior classes.
The Rotarians are now expected back at the school next week Thursday, to oversee elections into the executive committee of what will officially be known as the Will-B Interact Club of Ikotun.
Six elective posts will be on the cards, being president, vice-president, secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer and social secretary.
“It promises to be another historic day at Will-B School,” said the vice-principal academics and coordinator of the club, Mr. Samuel Ademola.
Similar views were expressed by his two assistant coordinators, Mrs. Uchenna Ogazi and Mrs. Bukola Olojo, as well as the principal, Mr. Gboyega Adeuyi, and other teachers.
Mr. Adeuyi posited “This is something the students will continue to enjoy even when finishing from this school. It is something they should benefit from for life.”
