Teenage Sensation Obuzeme Godsent Benedict came back from taking his WAEC to inspire KG Sports to 3-0 Emphatic victory over Divine FA in their Ika Grassroots Football League Week 10 match.
The sixteen year old missed all 9 games in the first round of the league due to his School Certificate Exams.
Godsent returned and was introduced in the 25th minute of the match and the ganging striker nodded home with his first touch to put the rejuvenated KG Sports Academy ahead.
The first half ended 1-0 but KG dominated with Godsent thrilling the fans.
The Lanky striker doubled the lead in the 65th minute after skippo Joseph Ukah found him on the right and his low drive beat the Divine Keeper.
Obuzeme got his hattrick in the 82nd minute from the spot after Skippo Joseph Ukah was brought down in the box by the on rushing Goalkeeper.
Godsent was handed the ball by his teammates and he fired home to the admiration of the fans.
The win leapt KG Sports Academy to 4th place.
“It’s good to have him back, we missed him in.the first round but we had no choice as we allowed him and 5 others of our Academy boys to focus on their WAEC Exams” an elated KG Sports Academy Director Dr Ken Gadaffi stated.
“With the return of the boys now, we hope to take the second round by storm and catch up with the table toppers” the Oracle of Cambodia added.
KG Sports will travel to Uteogbeje on Thursday to face Galilee FC .
