The Super 8 Preseason tournament organized by HUK Sports Management kicked off yesterday with lots of talent of display according to Olalekan Gabriel, coach of NPFL side MFM FC.
Describing the event to Sports247, Olalekan Gabriel first appreciated the organizer for a good job done on the first day. “I appreciate the organizers and the people in charge of the field. The game I watched today, I saw a lot of talents that needs to be groomed for them to become NPFL players”.
“Most of them have the talent and ability to play and as time goes on, coaches will be able to work well with the players and they will be better to face the challenges of the NPFL,” he said.
Talent is never enough and the coach was quizzed on the role of coaches in the area of discipline for players and Olalekan explained how important discipline is in order to play for MFM FC.
“In MFM FC, we always deal with discipline in the screening. If you’re not disciplined you can’t play in our club,” he said. “Being a gospel team, one had to be well behaved and rightly positioned in life and other teams need to emulate that which is why MFM FC is participating in this tournament, to encourage others into having a good relationship with God despite our life challenges,” he added.
