It’s the first interview for the newly appointed head coach of the Dannaz FC ladies, Dr. Diana Ajaine Asak, and the coach is already talking tonight with huge goals she has set for herself to achieve as she takes over the helm of affairs.
Speaking to Sports247, the coach who obtained her Doctorate degree (PhD.) in Sports and Exercise Psychology from the University of Lagos, told our reporter that her target is to raise a formidable team and secure the Nigerian Women’s Football League Championship ticket for the club amongst other wins for the club.
“The target I’m setting for myself and the team is to achieve great feats for the team and this can be achieved by working with the Management, Coaching Crew and Players closely towards achieving the set goals and objectives of the team (Dannaz F.C Ladies) by bringing in my experiences alongside the people in the team already and above all with the help of God Almighty,” Diana said.
“Knowing fully well that we will be playing in the coming Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship which is the second (2nd) tier in the Women’s League. So the target is to win and get the ticket,” she added.
The fans were not left out as the coach had a word for them as well. “The message for the fans is that their support and prayers are still highly needed for the great tasks ahead in order to make them feel good and happy always concerning the team by making the Team Champion and the best in Lagos State, Nigeria and well recognized in the world at large,” she concluded.
