The 2021 edition of the Ifako Ijaiye Games Logo and Website unveiling will hold on September 22 at the Council Secretariat IFAKO IJAIYE LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
The Meade Company Managing Director, Dolapo Macaulay said that the games are an ideology of the current Local Government Chairman who has a focus on youth-oriented leadership and would want to use sport to drive his campaign and get the youth engaged in this raging period.
The Honourable Chairman Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat has partnered with The Meade Company Limited to achieve this great feat.
IFAKO GAMES is a yearly program that contains three major competitions ( Ifako Ijaiye Football Soccer, Ifako Ijaiye Basketball Tournament, and Ifako Ijaiye Virtual Soccer Championship).
IFako Ijaiye Local Government has formed a committee that is being headed by Mr. Shakiru Bababunmi a.k.a Shabund, a veteran in sports grassroots games.
In the committee is Bello Omotunde who is The Meade Company’s Head of Sports Projects.
According to the chairman, Shabund, as he is fondly called, said the games is to bring back the glory of sport to its root in Ifako Ijaiye, and also it serves as the commitment of the Local Government Chairman Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat who is a sport-loving Chairman and also understand the positive of sports contribution to any growing economy.
He now seeks all sport-loving Stakeholders to take advantage of the games and leverage it as a platform to reach the grassroots.
Dignitaries and sports stakeholders are all invited to Federation chairmen and Prospective Sponsors.
