The 2021 edition of the Lagos State Ram Lovers Association of Nigeria Governor’s Cup came to a conclusion on Sunday, September 5.
Sahid Fagbenro, who saw his competing ram came out in first position of the annual Ram charging competition expressed his delight with outcome. Fagbenro also spoke on the profitability of participating in the competition.
“My ram has won the national competition for me once in Ibadan and today it has won the Governor’s Cup. I am very happy with the outcome,” he said.
When asked about the commercial gains of the sports, Fagbenro said: “It is profitable for winning the competition because people will like to get the ram that win the competition, to have the national champion or governors champion in their house.
“The ram has been transferred. It needs to move ahead. I bought the ram for about N58,000 and sold it for N250,000 plus.”
Thousands were in attendance to witness at the Legacy Pitch National Stadium, Suru-Lere, where cash prizes and home appliances were won by the competitors.
