All Set for 4th Annual World Reunion of UI Ex Footballers

All is set for the fourth edition of the University of Ibadan annual World Reunion festival of its ex-Footballers.

 

 

According to the programme of events put in place by the LOC for the event, the World Reunion will take place this Saturday, 15th December at the main bowl of the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium located inside the first and the best University in Nigeria.

 

One of the organisers of the event and CAF licensed A Coach, Adegoju Festus was quite ecstatic about the event. According to him, this year’s event will be fun filled and promises to be an amazing experience with the array of activities lined up for the day.

 

‘We are organising an event that other schools should emulate. There will be a football match in the morning amongst the ex footballers, and there after, the group will proceed to the school’s Olympic sized swimming pool for a refreshing time out in the pool.

 

The team will also visit the Botanical Garden and the Zoo before meeting up in the evening for an after party’. The events planned for the day are aimed at recreating and rewinding the hands of time.

 

The event will enable the players catch up on past time and reconnect again.

 

 

The Annual Reunion is open to all ex football players of the University of Ibadan and has always pooled its ex players together from across the globe, some of whom played professionally locally and internationally. Players are expected from far and wide and amongst those expected are Prof. Adekunle, a former player and coach of the school, Patrick Ngwaogu, a match reader with Abia Warriors, Barrister Rotimi Ali, Dr. Wale ‘Seeler’ Ogundiran and a number of former stars scattered across the globe including Kola Okolo (UK), Kolade Oladokun (Canada), Ben Gopaldresg (US), Moyo Molomo (US), Babatunde Bankole (US), Vita Okwara former Egotelis of Greece player now based in the UK to mention a few.
