Ram Fighting interests and engages the youths, says Adelaja Owolabi, a member of the Ram Lovers Association of Nigeria.
The 2021 edition of the Lagos State Ram Lovers Association Governor’s Cup hit off earlier this at the National Stadium Surulere. Speaking with Sports247 at the event, Owolabi said:
“Ram sports is second only to football around here. It keeps the youths busy. You can see 90% of the people present here are youths. It’s a very, very interesting sport. In the latter stages of the competitions, the numbers of people coming here to watch will be more than this.”
Owolabi also shared some light on rams involved in the sport. He added:
“The rams we are using for this sport are different from the normal domestic ones. We give them treatment and they have exercise. They are also very strong.”
