With Super Eagles being put in Group D to face Mohammed Salah’s Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau, Nigerian have shown a strong belief in the Super Eagles chances of bringing the trophy home, especially with the crop of players Gernot has brought into the side.
“Thank God there is another sports festival very soon in Cameroon,” Adeshina told Sports247. “It won’t be a tough group for Super Eagles except for Egypt who can give us a tough time but I expect the SE to go through because they have a collection of young players who are playing regularly in their clubs and I believe they can assist the country to qualify and even go ahead to win the Nations Cup,” he added.
Coach Adeshina who is the current coach of Team Lagos and former Stationery Stores Coach expressed so much belief in the Nigerian team to go all the way to win the title in Cameroon.
“It will be a good ball game in Cameroon and I believe so much in the Super Eagles because they have a good track record which shows they have been doing so well,” Adeshina said.
He further tipped host Cameroon to qualify from their group whilst expressing further belief in the Super Eagles to return to Nigeria with the trophy.
The competition holds between 9th January to 6th February 2022 in Cameroon across six cities.
