Another week to fight and stake a claim to be in the super 8 of the fusion football championship and team 360 returned to winning ways as they defeated Ajuwa FC 2-1 in what was seen as a rivalry match.
Team 360 scored both their goals in the first half to ease every form of pressure on them as they cruised into halftime only for Ajuwa to return with the pressure from the cooker and eventually pull one back but it wasn’t enough for them to get a point from the game.
Speaking to Sports247, coach of Team360, Shola Raji expressed his joy and appreciation for his player’s performance as well as abilities.
“The last time we met it was a draw and as a result I’ve had to watch their tactics and was able to neutralize all I think I watched in their last game and we were able to get maximum points,” Sola said. “I really give kudos to my boys for being able to play to the tactics we’ve been practicing in training,” he added.
The win makes it two out of five for the Lagos side with 14 games left to go and the coach still ensures he drums his target for the team in the championship into the ears of the players.
“I have a target for the league and I keep talking to my boys everyday. I make them understand what and what is involved in the league and what we can achieve at the end of the season and we hope to be part of the super 8,” Sola said.
Team 360 started the fusion championship picking up three straight back to back losses which was a cause for worry but the coach explained that he had so much belief in his players even though they lost some key players to transfers and had a tough time getting to gel again.
