The Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, has warmly received the good news of the exciting form of FIFA woman Referee from the country, Patience Ndidiamaka Madu who is in Japan as part of the match officials selected to handle the football event of the 2021 Olympic Games.
Reports reaching the NRA have it that Madu from the Enugu State Council kept hopes alive on Sunday 18 July 2021 morning in Tokyo Japan, as he passed all the pre Games FIFA physical fitness tests to which they were exposed in quite impressive and astonishing times.
Patience Ndidiamaka Madu had on arrival in Tokyo last Wednesday 14 July 2021 cleared of COVID-19 at the port of entry and again was medically approved to participate in the fitness tests.
The technical preparations had been quite intensive both in the theoretical as well as in the integrated components.
The Olympic Games start on the 25 July and end on 8 August 2021.
It would be recalled that Madu, one of the international women Referees from Nigeria was among the FIFA Referees from Africa selected to fill the continent’s position in the officiating crew for the sports fiesta.
The NRA continues to ask for God’s guidance and the wisdom and strength for her to excel as the events begin.
