The fourth edition of the U-15 Boys and Girls Bola Akindele football competition which commenced six weeks ago has reached the final stage.
In the semi-final matches played recently at Ojoniyun sports center, Ebute- Metta, Ultimate FC beat Puma FC 2-1, while Double Stars defeated Young Shall Grow FC 5-4 in a penalty shootout after 2-2 at the regulation time in the male category.
In the female category, Leo Queens lost 2-4 to Supra Queens as Ikena Queens defeated Ashade Queens 2-1 to reach the final stage.
The final ceremony would hold on 11, July 2021 at Campos sports center, Lagos Island.
Speaking at the press conference, the cup donor, Dr. Adebola Akindele who doubles as Group Managing Director of Courteville Business Solution said sponsoring the tourney of this magnitude is born out of the passion he has for the round leather game.
He said football cannot be sponsored or developed by the government saying that he is sponsoring the grassroots tournament as part of his contribution to football development in Lagos.
