The boys have finally been separated from the men as finalists have emerged in the 2021 Plateau State Super League.
Tudun Wada Football Academy proved bookmakers wrong as they match all the way to the final after finishing as best losers from Group F, taking their pound of flesh over 2006/2007 Champions, Jazzy Stars Football Academy, who they lost 0-1 to in the group stage, beating them 5-4 on penalties at the quarter-final yesterday to face Deluxe FA in the semi-final.
The Kelechi Okoye and Thomas Ekoja’s Tudun Wada FA tutored side defeated a Deluxe FA side headed by former Gambia national team coach, Moses Ajala, 3-0 on penalties after a 1-1 regulation time score to move to their ever first final.
Panriang Football club of Mangu also made it first at the final as they beat Datyem United of Langtang North 1-0 in the other semi-final.
The 2021 Plateau State Super League final, slated for Wednesday at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, promises to be a cracker as both Tudun Wada FA and Panriang FC from the same Group F that also included Jazzy Stars FA, will be meeting themselves for the second time.
It would be recalled that Tudun Wada FA beat Panriang FA 1-0 at the group stage with Eden Paul getting the only goal in the 78min.
Will it be a deja vu for Tudun Wada FA against Panriang FC?
Wednesday’s final will tell!
