There is no better club side in Nigeria that has got the abilities and foundation of empowering the youth, other than Dannaz Football Club.

Founded in 2016, Dannaz Football Club (Female & Male teams) is a semi-professional Club gradually turning into full professional presently, playing in the Nigerian Nationwide League is established on the basis of helping the Nigerian youth to unearth their sports talents, harness their raw potential, hone their skills, and nurture them to stardom.

The club is creatively positioned to offer players a challenging, competitive, and educational program with an emphasis on societal change, integrity, and prosperity. They are also known for nurturing young talents through its TIPS model and exposing them through reputable competitions like the FA Cup, NLO, Ikeja Divisional League, Surulere Regional League, and many more.

Dannaz FC also has the massive support and encouragement of the Ikeja DFA, Lagos State FA, as well as the Ikeja Coaching Council, led by their leader Coach Dosu.

Formally playing in the Ikeja League, Dannaz FC (Male team) is well known for winning since their creation in 2016, as they won Socialiga Trophy in 2018, won the Ikeja League in the same 2018, won the EKO League in 2019, and now are the NLO 3 playoff Champions in 2021, which ensured their promotion to the NLO 2.

Just as the Male team are performing superbly, so are the female team as well. In 2019, they were Runners up in the Socialiga as well as semi-finalists in the Women Association for Female Academies (WAFA) League. And in 2021, they booked their promotion places in the NWFL Championship from the NWFL Nationwide, alongside two other Lagos female teams as well (Oasis Ladies and Royaltoms Queens), which continues to show the winning mentality of Dannaz Fc and its aim towards empowering the Nigerian youths.

It sounds as no surprise how the club is waxing in winnings and success, because the coach and founder of the Club, Danny Nazzal has been a long admirer and lover of the beautiful round Leather game right from his young age, while in school, as well as his undying urge to empower the Nigeria youths and enhance young and potential football talents.

In an interview with Sports247, he said, “There is no secret behind this club, like I said, I love football. Growing up, I used to run away from school to go and play football and I was flogged thoroughly for the sake of football, but I was able to balance the two, playing football and going to school, graduating, furthering my education in my field, getting Coaching Certification and having Sports Management, Coaching Science and so many things. I just love to improve and develop myself generally”.

“I used to play professional football in Lebanon. I went into coaching, due to an injury. Even at a very young age, I used to coach my mates. Because of my love for football and my Love for my country (Nigeria), I decided to come up with this Clubside (Dannaz Fc), so as to expose and empower our youths in terms of Football development”.

“We also have an academy as well. We have over a hundred (100) kids in our academy between the ages of 3-16. We have all the categories as well, from the U17, U19, U20. Our oldest players are 23 years of age. I just love the game, because it’s my passion, and I won’t rest on my laurels, until I see the Male and Female team of Dannaz become a force to reckon with, not only in Nigeria football but also in Africa and the World at large”, the passionate coach and founder emphasized.

With the male team now in the NLO 2 and the Female team now in the NWFL Championship, Coach Danny’ boys and ladies are definitely the teams to look out for in the various competitions (NLO 2) and (NWFL Championship), as the male team are not only seeking for a promotion to the NLO 1 and NNL but also a place in the NPFL.

Watch out for Dannaz FC, the driving foundation of Nigeria Grassroot Sports is now a huge force to reckon with in terms of Nigerian football and it’s just a matter of time before it becomes “The team to beat”, not just in Nigeria, but in Africa and the World at Large.
