After helping his team secure a hard-fought 1-0 narrow Victory over Dakkada Fc on Sunday in Match week 24 in the NPFL, MFM Fc player Dayo Alabi has stated that God used him to ensure that his team picked up all maximum points.
The superb player who replaced Adeniji in the 54th minutes of the game scored the only and winning goal of the encounter played at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, Lagos State, as Gabriel Olalekan’s side defeated the Akwa Ibom side 1-0, to ensure all three points in the game and move the Odukoya boys to 9th on the NPFL League standings.
In a chat with Sports247 after the game, Dayo Alabi stated that he had always wanted to come in and change the complexion of the match. He also admitted that the coach (Gabriel Olalekan) told him what was lacking in the game, and by God’s Grace, he was used to changing the fortune of his team in the game.
“What was running in my mind was for me to come in and change the game. Before I came, the Coach told me one or two things that we (MFM) were lacking in the game. He knew that these things we were lacking, I have it all in me. so he told me to go in and change the game”.
“So I went in and everything changed by God’s grace because it’s not by my own power, so I changed the game and God granted us the victory. Let me just admit that God used me for the match and am so so grateful for that”, he acknowledged.
MFM FC are not only 9th on the NPFL table, but are also unbeaten in their last five (5) matches in the league, with four (4) wins and a draw, amassing thirteen (13) points from a possible (15) in the last five (5) matches.
